This is more for someone medium size taller than 57 on the west side and someone perhaps with a 33 and above size belt for beginners is great after while sitting on a tree or sitting on a rope dangling from the tree it can become very uncomfortable around the legs but again for beginners it is a phenomenal belt the cost you cannot beat it and if you need to have one for an emergency it is a must have
This device worked well. Buy one!
I would not recommend this seat for untrained climbers as it takes some adjustment to fit comfortably and has a lot of access material to contend with after fitting. It is sturdy and should hold up to repeated use without too much fraying. Should work as well as tying your own Swiss seat. My only complaint would be that the front attachment loop is a bit over-sized. Overall a good basic back up rig for trained users.
I used a this to scale my sailboat mast. It worked very well and I felt secure and safe. Actually not too bad on the comfort side either!
Needed to climb some 50 trees for pruning and have experience climbing from the military. This harness is inexpensive And perfect for a “now and then” climber. If I was climbing every weekend I might get wider straps and paddling but this is exactly what I need. Gonna keep it in my jump bag (EMS/rescue) for a quick harness option. Id buy another one of these in a heartbeat.
Works fine and use it to rope onto a tree, that supports me while working on a metal roof at various angles..happy!
I know people have specifically said not to use these for rock climbing but I took it to my gym and they said it looked just as good as the ones they rent out for use there, which also only have the single loop. I used it last night, had no problems functionally. I will say its not super comfortable so if youre gonna be doing some long climbs it might be worth it to splurge. But great for a casual climber in a gym setting.
Got this harness as a safety measure while doing some roofing. Used with a quality anchor and fall arrester, this harness held me in place and on the job!
